Paper is made from wood. When you reuse old paper, fewer trees have to be cut down. So if you recycled 1,000 kg of paper, you would have saved 3.3 trees! Through recycling, we can also reduce the mountain of waste and save on processing costs.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recycling paper involves boiling down the wastepaper and washing out the ink, turning it into a kind of pulp. New paper or cardboard is made by combining this pulp with new material. Paper is made up of small fibres and when it is recycled, those fibres become a little shorter. After about seven reuses, the fibres are too short to be recycled any further.
